King’s Cross is located to the north of Central London, in the area bordering the London boroughs of Islington and Camden and only a short distance from the West End and a short Tube journey to Liverpool Street for the City of London.

The area has undergone extensive redevelopment since the late 1990’s turning this once slightly neglected area of north London in to a thriving business and residential hub. The station is also undergoing extensive redevelopment to increase capacity. Interestingly, it was first opened in 1852 and designed by Lewis Cubbitt. More recently it was the fictional home of the Hogwarts Express from the popular Harry Potter series of children’s novels, although you may struggle to find platform 9¾!

The many amenities enjoyed by residents and the growing number of new businesses include a bathing pond, a new public square and scenic walks along the canal. Granary Square is now a central location in the area playing host to events and festivals. There is even an arts college, Central St Martins, along with several new schools.

Since the start of the transformation of King’s Cross there have been a steady number of famous businesses making the area their new home like Bupa, media company OMD International and Google who have taken over one million square feet. In all there is over 3.4 million square feet of new office space available across the development creating the potential for over 45,000 new jobs.
